Description of Work Accomplished:

The following repairs were accomplished on the aircraft under Work Order No. 89-94 dated May 1, 1972.

  1. Installed Schweizer Part No. 4960G-1 Strap, on both L/H and R/H Wings, between upper outboard skins at main spar in accordance with Drawing 4960G, Sta. 124.0 to 161.31. Installation of these reinforcing straps affects compliance with manufacturer's Service Bulletin No. 102-1A-4 dater 4/21/72.
  2. Opened lower outboard skin on R/H Wing for access. Repaired 6" long crack in lower aft section of P/N 1-2006-22 rib by straightening rib and adding a repair doubler (.064 x 3.1/2 x 15, 2024-T3 Alc.) along lower outboard side of the rib. Added extruded reinforcing angle (1/16" x 3/4 x 3/4, 2024-T4) along bottom outboard face of repair doubler. On lower inboard face of rib added formed angle reinforcement (.051 x 3/4 x 3/4, 2024-T3 Alc.) nested in flange of rib. Picked up existing pattern of rivets in skin and rib (inb'd) and duplicated rivet pattern through skin and reinforcing angle on outboard side of rib. Reinforcement and angles fastened to web of rib with twenty (20) AN470AD4 rivets. Installation of repair inspected in accordance with mfgr's written instructions No. G-826 and approved to close.
  3. Weight change for both repairs in A & B above is negligible. Aircraft total time to date is 340:24 hours.
