About
14:30 Pacific daylight time, N95DR, impacted a building and terrain
during a forced landing following a loss of engine power near Minden,
Nevada. The private pilot, sole occupant, received fatal injuries. The
airplane sustained substantial damage. The pilot was operating the
airplane under the provisions of 14 CFR Part 91. VMC prevailed and no
flight plan was filed for the personal cross country flight. The flight
originated from the North Las Vegas airport, Las Vegas, Nevada, about 12:07,
and the intended destination was the Minden-Tahoe airport, Minden,
Nevada. Pilot was Egon Fritz (Germany). [NTSB report SEA07LA129]
The crash site was in the 1700 block of North Benton Road in Minden. |
