Tran Van Soai was a Hoa Hao general, who became the commander in chief of the Hoa Hao (Buddhist sect) armed forces, after the assassination of Huynh Phu So by the Viet Minh on 1947-04-01. The French showed their appreciation of Soai's cooperation by promoting him to the rank of general on 1953-01-01. He was a Minister of State from 1954-09-24 to March 1955. |
