Three Republic Seabee amphibians carrying the distinctive black and orange official colors and "Flying Goose" insignia of the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service are shown lined up at Republic Aviation Corporation's field at Farmingdale, Long Island, ready for flyaway delivery to Alaska.  The U. S. Department of the Interior has purchased the Seabees for its game and fish protection program throughout Alaska and the territories, some 15,000 miles of sea coast.  Patrol pilots who fly them estimate that each Seabee will take the place of 20 power boats, and because of the four-place amphibians wide range of land or water utility, will be equally effective in game and fish law enforcement in coastal waters, inland rivers, and the Territory's vast tundra area.  The Seabee carries a useful load of over 1,000 lbs and has a range of more than 500 miles.
