According to Commonwealth Journal (1951), Boyd McDaniel was the pilot and owner of the Republic Seabee, and three companions, W. Weddle, Jr. Weddle and Jesse Flynn, had a narrow escape from injury Sunday afternoon when McDaniels was forced to land.
