1960-08-17 Memorandum from DoT Toronto Regional Office to A.D.M.A., Ottawa:

The owner has just written this office and requested a transfer of the former registration CF-DLN to this new hull. Before this aircraft is formally registered, we will ensure that the former registration on hull (Serial No. 69) has been cancelled.

Letter from Bach-Simpson Limited; 1255 Brydges Street, London, Ontario, to CAA, Washington, D.C., USA:

An extensive repair and rebuild operation involving a Republic Aviation RC-3 Aircraft has recently been carried out here in Canada, and it is now desired that this aircraft obtain Canadian Registration.

Since an American hull is involved in the project, it appears necessary that before formal registration can be proceeded with in this country, we will require confirmation from the C.A.A. in the United States that the hull in question, last registered in the United States, has had the registration covering it cancelled.

The following data applies:
Type of aircraft - Republic Seabee Model RC-3, Serial No. 147
License Number - #87579
Date Manufactured - 11/15/46

I will greatly appreciate a communication from you in which the exact status of the former registration number on this particular aircraft is set forth.

Sincerely yours,
BACH-SIMPSON LIMITED
R. Wilton
